Halloween, eating, teething, etc.
So much has been going on lately! Here are a few of the highlights:Chesni is eating big girl food! She learned how to eat well SOO much faster then Jaxon! I am definitely a fan of waiting until closer to 6 months. She has been eating food for almost 3 weeks and she closes her mouth and swallows after each bite! She figured the eating thing out in about a week and a half, smart girl! She has gone through almost all the veggies and will be heading on to the fruits shortly. So far her favorites are carrots and squash.
Here's my little cowboy and indian girl! I had so much fun making their costumes and Jaxon thought he was pretty cool. Chesni just liked eating her braids and pulling off the headband. Anything she could grab and get to her mouth was game!
Isn't that the cutest cowboy you've ever seen?
Teeth! Chesni cut both her bottom middle teeth before she hit 6 months and they are poking up nicely now. She has been working on her top 2 but has nothing to show for it yet. Look at those bright eyes!
Her first BYU outfit! Isn't she just about the cutest baby you ever saw? She is so happy and giggly all the time! Her newest challenge is crawling. She hasn't quite made it yet, but she can sure get up on her hands and feet or hands and knees! She has been able to squirm her way forward a little but no actual crawling yet. If she continues to keep pace with Jaxon she will be crawling by the 2nd of December. She had her 6 month check up and she is 14 lbs 9 oz and 26 1/4 inches tall! They get big so fast!
Jaxon has been growing so fast! I think he has definitely entered a new developmental stage. I can understand almost all of what he says and he tries so much harder to repeat things we say. The other day her was standing on the back of the couch trying to reach a shelf and I told him he needed to get down because "that wasn't gonna fly" and I guess I hadn't ever said that to him before because he sat down and got a super cute confused look on his face and said "fly? (insert confused babble) Fly?" You could just see the wheels turning and trying to figure out how a little bug flying around had anything to do with him getting up on the shelf. So cute! He also is much more affectionate now. He runs up and gives me hugs all the time and loves to sit and talk to Chesni and get her to laugh. She thinks pretty much anything he does is hilarious so it works out nicely. This morning he wanted to hold her and read books and he was very disappointed when she was more interested in eating the books then looking at them. He now weighs somewhere around 32 1/2 lbs and is 36 inches tall.
Braeden has been interviewing like crazy. He should be finished with fly-outs around the first week in December and then we hope to have at least one good job offer that we can take! So far he has been promised an offer but we haven't heard yet as to the specifics, and it is a waiting game on the other final interviews. Braeden has done really well though and we are hopeful that he will get a good offer in the next few weeks. We are being forced to learn patience that's for sure! These waiting games are so frustrating!
So that's an update on us these days! Hope you are all doing well!
