A new addition!

Way back in May I made a trip out to Kansas to pick up my mom and bring her back to Georgia to live with us.  It was a whirlwind trip as I flew out Tuesday evening, we loaded up the moving van Wednesday, drove to Iowa to see my sister Brittany and her family and pick up a few more things Thursday, and finished the drive to Georgia between Friday and Saturday morning.  It was so much fun to see my sister and her family, I wish we could have stayed longer!

We are so happy to have my mom with us.  She has such an amazing story and I am so proud of her perseverance and faith over the last several years.  Almost 4 years ago she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and had to undergo major brain surgery.  The surgery was very extensive and lasted all day.  It ended up being so tough on her brain that it triggered a stroke.  My mom lost her right peripheral vision, and she has had to relearn how to speak, write, read, cook, and pretty much everything else.  She has learned so much over the last 4 years and is not even halfway through the expected recovery time of 8 to 10 years.  But she never gives up and has such a strong testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She knows how much Father in heaven loves her and though she doesn't understand why all this happened, she is trying to make the best of life.  My mom is amazing.

Jaxon and Chesni LOVE having Grandma Linda live with us!  As you can see from the picture, Chesni is Grandma's little buddy.  When she gets up every morning she runs and gives Grandma hugs and she loves Grandma's snuggles!  Grandma just has a way with her and it is so sweet to see.  Hopefully Chesni doesn't get too jealous when baby comes and takes a share in Grandma's cuddles :)
